It uses many of the same high-end features that were normally found on the X9 line and brought them to the more affordable X7 level. This shifter is equipped with a hard-wearing aluminium construction, which makes it more than capable of withstanding all the abuse that comes with all-day epics in the mountains. Using Exact Actuation technology, this model offers simple maintenance and easy set up.

Exact Actuation: The Exact Actuation system uses a 1:1 actuation ratio (shifter cable travel : derailleur movement) for 10 speed shifting. This Exact Actuation helps to simplify and stabilize the uneasy act of balancing rear derailleur hanger design, tight cog spacing and exact cable tension. The result: the easiest index shifting system to set up, and it stays that way.
